Independent Authorities

Independent Authorities have been introduced to manage, control, coordinate and develop specific sectors and are recognisable by their uniquely autonomous position with respect to traditional Administrative models. Each Authority has its own individual remit, some endowed with regulating, sanctioning and para-judicial powers. The structure of these Bodies is in constant flux and is, therefore, constantly monitored by VILDE in order to always be up to the latest modifications to their organisation and functions.

Our considerable experience in complex proceedings before single Authorities has led us to deal with: CONSOB (the Italian Securities Exchange Commission), AGCM (the Antitrust Authority), the Electricity/Gas Authority, the Communications Authority (AGCOM) and the Italian National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC).

In addition, VILDE consistently represents our clients in appealing decisions and penalties of Independent Authorities before Administrative Judges.
